How Hearthstone works
Simple for the people answering; safe for the generations who’ll listen.
1. A question arrives
Once a week, each family member gets one prompt by text or email — chosen to match where they are in life. No app to install, no blank page to face.
2. They answer in their own voice
Tap the link and record a voice note or video, or just type. Two minutes is plenty. Attach a photo or a scanned letter if it helps tell the story.
3. It’s archived — and can be sealed
Every answer is preserved in your family’s private archive. Anything can be sealed to open later — a birthday, a wedding, or after someone is gone — encrypted until its day.
4. It’s kept safe, and kept yours
Your archive is backed up off-site and can also sync to your own home device. You can download everything, any time, in ordinary formats. Private recordings are encrypted with keys your family holds — not even we can open them.
5. It grows with your family
One shared family tree holds everyone. Children who come of age are welcomed in; new in-laws can build out their side. The archive is meant to be handed down.
